小时候,你打碎过盘子吗?打碎以后你会怎么做?

一个小孩儿不小心打碎了一只盘子,盘子非常珍贵。妈妈看见了碎片,问:“是谁打碎的?”

“是我打碎的。”孩子回答。

“怎么打碎的?”

小孩儿一下子找不到合适的词语,一着急就把另一只盘子也碰到地上,说:“就是这样打碎的!”

不小心
by accident,carelessly

“不小心” means“by accident”,“ carelessly”,“negligently” and is used as adverbial to modify verbs,.
一个小孩儿不小心打碎了一只盘子。
A child broke a plate into pieces by accident.

Exmaple:
(1) 考试的时候,我不小心写错了两个字。
(2) 前天他不小心丢了钱包,一天没吃饭。

一……就……
as soon as

“一……就……”is used to describe a situation in which two consecutive events happen.
小孩儿一着急就把另一只盘子也碰到地上。
The child, in such anxiety, knocked another plate onto the ground.

Example:
(1) 我一看见中国菜就想吃。
(2) 他一回国就给我打电话了。


have something done

“把”, preposition, usually used in “A把B+v.+other components ”, indicates “treatment, disposal and management of B”.
小孩儿一着急就把另一只盘子也碰到地上。
The child, in such anxiety, knocked another plate onto the ground.

Example:
(1) 儿子十分钟就把冰激凌吃完了。
(2) 回家以后把今天的生词复习复习。

    After breaking a plate, what do you do?

    一个小孩儿不小心打碎了一只盘子,盘子非常珍贵。妈妈看见了碎片,问:“是谁打碎的?”
    A child accidentally broke a plate and the plate is very valuable. Mom saw
    the debris, and asked: “Who broke it? ”

    “是我打碎的。”孩子回答。
    “I broke it.” Answer the child.

    “怎么打碎的?”
    Mom asked how it was broken

    小孩儿一下子找不到合适的词语,一着急就把另一只盘子也碰到地上,说:“就是这样打碎的”
    The child suddenly cannot find the right words to answer and excitedly
    took another plate and threw it to the ground, saying: “This is how
    it is broken.”

    1. Hi ΒωωνΚυαν,
      I think you have translated 着急 as excitedly.
      “Excited” in Chinese is 兴奋 which has different meaning to 着急.
      着急 means “feel anxious or worried”.

      My English is not very good. Please correct me if I am wrong.

    我把小故事翻译它成英文

    =========================================================
    A plate is broken like this.

    Did yu everyou broke a plate when you where young,
    and what did you do when you broke it?

    A child not being carefull broke one plate, the plate was very valuable.
    Mother seeing the broken plate asked, “Who broke it”, “I broke it”, the child said. “How did you brake it?”
    The child when not being able to find a suitable explenation,
    got worried and took an other plate and threw it on the floor, saying:
    “Well I broke it like that”
