What is the difference between 降 and this 减？
Both words also mean to reduce. When to use

In some context, 降 and 减 both has the same meaning.
You can say:
汽 车 降 低 了 人 们 对 马 车 的 需 求。
Or you can say:
汽 车 减 低 了 人 们 对 马 车 的 需 求。
However, for this sentence:
3 减 2 等 于 1 。
And it is wrong to say:
3 降 2 等 于 1 。
