  1. hey Min Min!

What is the difference between 呼喊 hū hǎn and 呼唤 hū huàn? I roughly understand that huhuan= call out while huhan=shout, is this correct? If I say, wo huhuan ni = I call you and wo huhan ni= I shout at you. Are these sentences correct?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Mervin,
呼唤 means to call; to summon.

      More examples here:
呼唤和平 (to call for peace )
(He called my name.)
(The times call for us to move forward.)

呼喊 means to call out; to shout; to yell.
      More examples here:
(Shout for help.)
(She cried out savagely.)
(His cries were unheeded. )

Normally we don’t say “我呼喊你”, but “我呼喊着他的名字。”
