  1. What’s the meaning of biān 边 in the last sentence ? Is it maybe “inside” or …….. ?
It’s a litlle bit confused because in the first sentence you use ěr duǒ 耳朵 and in the last not. Like I said in an earlier comment : I’m only a newbie in the chinese language.

    Thanks for your useful website.

    1. Usually we use “耳朵” as a word(noun) to means ear.
“耳边” mean beside one’s ear. It is nothing wrong to say “耳朵边”. But it is more common we say as “耳边”.

      Another example:
      河 is river.
      河流 also means river.
“河边” means beside the river. And it is more common we say “河边” instead of “河流边”. As I said, it is nothing wrong to say “河流边”.

If you have anything that you don’t understand, please feel free to ask in the comment section. I will try my best to answer.
I hope you like learning Chinese and find this website useful.
